What do people think about the July mouse-model study (http://www.oltca.com/axiom/DailyNews/2009/July/July13.html) suggesting that caffeine could prevent and possibly even reverse Alzheimer's?
It appears to be a reliable study with proper controls, but if caffeine were really an effective drug for Alzheimer's disease in humans one would think that medical professionals would have already noticed the correlation, since so many people already drink significant amounts of coffee daily. Did no one notice? Or is this another case where humans and mice will differ in there responses?
