Lacewing eggstalks as new materials??

New studies suggest that the rather amazing Green Lacewing eggstalks, which are an amyloid material, may be very useful in the development of novel materials, see

That seems really cool to me, and I'd sure rather be raising green lacewings than spiders (ewww).
